For thousands of years each generation, every culture, and all family lines have been presented with their share of joy and sorrow, success and failure, solutions and problems. Like those before us, we too in the United States are presented with many challenges. (One look at the news will tell us that). Then, as individuals, we are given the opportunity to do what we can to make an impact during the time we are given; the opportunity to leave a legacy that will follow on behind us.
As Tory and I look at who we are and how we have been wired as individuals we can’t help but passionately spend our lives striving after character that stands on truth. We believe that character first begins in our own individual life, our marriage, our children and can then overflow into the lives of those who surround us.
We are serving as directors in an adventure ministry called Camp Bighorn, in Plains, Montana. We use the outdoor adventures, such as, white water kayaking and rafting, rock climbing, backcountry skiing, high and low ropes course elements, mountaineering, etc. as tools to take people out of their comfort zone and challenge them to be men and women of character physically, emotionally and spiritually.
In coming on staff here at Camp Bighorn we have taken a step of faith in God’s leading that He will provide for us financially. Like many other ministries we were asked to raise our own support.
So, as you consider giving to our family and helping to meet our needs, we want to say thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us and what it is that we are doing to bring about change in this world. We are compelled to tell you that though we are presented with the many challenges that come with living on a tight budget financially, we see that the benefits of serving, the privilege of seeing lives changed, and the opportunity to raise our children with staff of such high-quality, far surpass the difficulties of our monetary needs. So, thank you for giving and being an answer to prayer. We pray God’s blessing and leading in each of your lives.
With love and prayers,
Tory, Jennifer, Ethan, Toby, Orin and Anna Albertson
