Above is the picture of our relay team celebrating the completion of our 1st Flying Pig Marathon. The day was a beautiful success with good running weather and 4 healthy runners! We completed the marathon in 4 hours 7 minutes with smiles on our faces. It was an inspiring event with thousands of people along the route to cheer on the runners. All in all over 16,000 participated in Sunday's running events. Despite the long anticipated waiting (as I was the fourth runner), I can honestly say the event/day went too fast.
In addition to the race, we are very proud to say that together we raised $1,600.00 for the Albertson Family! TO ALL OF YOU WHO DONATED MONEY...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU....FROM OUR TEAM AND THE ALBERTSON FAMILY! What a tremendous success!
